Waiting For The End

2014 is coming to an end- and just like every other year, I wish it would end sooner.

SPM is in less than a week and here I am type-type-typing on my blog.

Just when you thought you've experienced the worst year of your life so far, the next one gets even worse. It's as if your life deteriorates as time passes on. You'd start the year optimistic, hopeful, fresh and happy. But as the days gradually pass by, bad things start to happen and they pile on top one another. They'd start to accumulate so much that you feel as if the weight of the world was hanging on your shoulders and you don't know which one to solve first nor how to solve it. Through the mid of the year, you would already want everything to stop, either that or you would even want to not feel anything at all.

You would walk through the empty halls or crowds of people feeling completely indifferent. Staring into space as you try to rid yourself of any emotions to ease that heart-wrenching pain inside of you. You would try to numb the pain but you'll eventually numb every other emotion along with it, including plain, simple happiness. Smiles would be forced, your laughter would sound like you're choking on your own voice. That little whisper in your head tells you "I promise next year would be better" but no it doesn't.

It's like an endless vicious cycle. And everything you do seems to be even more worse than the previous year.

Mistakes are repeated. Lessons aren't learnt.
It's as if your life has just turned into one big "I don't know".

I'm sorry this year has been rough, but don't let that new year optimism fade as the months go on each year. It's easy to get sucked into feeling miserable but just stay strong and keep going each day. You can kick some ass in 2015. :)

In terms of dressing for winter, the most important thing to know is to dress in layers. Mainly because you'll want to make sure you're comfortable both outside in the cold, and indoors in the heat. So for example, wearing a t-shirt underneath a sweater underneath a heavier jacket. If you want to wear a dress or a skirt, make sure to wear thicker tights (or fleece-lined tights) to keep you warm. A scarf and mittens are key when it comes to exploring outdoors for longer periods of time. And don't forget a hat that can cover your ears (or earmuffs if you don't want to ruin your hair). I hope that helps! :)
